Eczacıbaşı Building Products advances to EcoVadis Silver, earning its place among top sustainability performers globally

Score of 76 places EBP in the top 15% worldwide, reflecting its progress to Silver and reinforcing its sustainable business model as well as its relevance for architects, designers and international project stakeholders.

Eczacıbaşı Building Products (EBP), a pioneering provider of complete bathroom solutions, has earned a Silver Medal from EcoVadis, a global leader in business sustainability assessments, marking a significant step forward from its previous Bronze rating.

With a score of 76, Eczacıbaşı Building Products now ranks among the top 15% of more than 150,000 companies assessed globally. The improvement reflects measurable progress across core sustainability areas including environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement, positioning the company more strongly within its international peer group.

EcoVadis assessments are based on internationally recognised standards including the UN Global Compact, ILO conventions and GRI frameworks, providing an independent, evidence-based benchmark of how companies manage sustainability risks and opportunities across their operations and value chains.

Through its VitrA brand, EBP continues to translate these capabilities into high-performance, design-led solutions that meet the evolving expectations of architects, designers and specifiers. As sustainability criteria become increasingly central to project selection, independent assessments such as EcoVadis play a critical role in providing transparency and comparability.

The rating also supports Eczacıbaşı Building Products’ broader commercial positioning, strengthening engagement with international clients and contributing to a more robust and qualified project pipeline across key markets.

Hasan Pehlivan, CEO of Eczacıbaşı Building Products, commented: “Moving from Bronze to Silver is a major step forward, but more importantly it shows that what we’re doing is working. We’re now better than 91% of all companies and quite close to reaching the Gold level. EcoVadis gives us an external benchmark against strong global peers, and that matters - both for how we manage the business and how we are perceived by our clients.”

Eczacıbaşı Building Products will continue to build on this progress, using the EcoVadis framework to further strengthen its performance, identify areas for improvement, and support a resilient, sustainable business model in an increasingly demanding market environment.

EBP is now focused on closing the gap to Gold level, with targeted improvements across high-impact categories. More details on the latest award can be accessed at EcoVadis Sustainability Ratings.
